About the Role

This is an excellent opening for an Academic Quality and Standards Manager to join the Governance, Quality Assurance and Student Casework Department. This exciting opportunity involves working in the central team in the area of academic standards and quality, supporting the development and implementation of the University’s Quality Framework.

You will work with other members of the team to set and realise the objectives of the Governance, Quality Assurance and Student Casework unit (GQASC). Academic Quality and Standards Managers (AQSMs) provide professional support for Edge Hill University’s processes for programme approval (validation, including academic partnerships), monitoring and review, academic planning and internal quality audit. Collectively they also deliver a professional secretariat service for Academic Board, its committees and major sub committees in accordance with the University’s Articles of Governance.

About You

As Academic Quality and Standards Manager, you will have good working knowledge of national HE quality regulation and be: -

  • Able to pay attention to detail and work with, analyse and communicate complex quantitative and qualitative data
  • Excellent at writing reports in an academic context
  • Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships
  • Organised, efficient and proactive
  • A Team player
