Our highly skilled and creative workforce is comprised of individuals drawn from a broad cross section of the globe, who reflect a variety of backgrounds, talents, perspectives and experiences that help to build our global learning community.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join a Team Leader role in the Academic Quality team. This post will further support the work of the team, which is based within Academic Services, and is responsible for delivering high-quality support to Faculties and academic partners in implementing the University’s quality assurance framework across a complex and varied portfolio. Key work areas include curriculum management, appeals, complaints and academic offences casework and committee support. You will be active in delivering training to a range of stakeholders and engaged in creating streamlined and efficient processes in key institutional-level projects.

As a Team Leader in the Academic Quality team, you will be one of five Team Leader roles, leading the work in a complex and busy team environment. You will utilise excellent Team Leadership skills to manage both team and individual performance to motivate staff and deliver service excellence consistently to all BU stakeholders. You will be committed to working collaboratively with colleagues across Faculties and other Professional Services and have excellent team working, communication, organisation and planning skills.

For further information and discussion, please contact Jules Forrest, Head of Academic Quality by email (jforrest@bournemouth.ac.uk).

We seek a diverse community through attracting, developing and retaining staff from different backgrounds to contribute to inspirational learning, advancing knowledge and enriching society. To support and enable our staff to achieve a balance between work and their personal lives, we will also consider proposals for flexible working or job share arrangements.
