Located within Digital Workplace, we manage user access to BT and EE systems and applications, in full compliance with all security, regulatory and compliance standards. The UK User Access Management Team SME role includes all responsibilities covered by BT User Access, EE User Access and SASM (System Access Security Management), and a UK User Access Management Team SME may be called on to fulfil any of these responsibilities.
The UK User Access Management Team SME role is key to delivering an efficient and secure service to end users of systems and applications in BT and EE, empowering our end users by managing access to the tools and applications they use, to agreed service levels. All aspects of UK User Access Management are managed by the Team, including - provision of access to end users, modification of existing access, removal of access, and revalidation of access, where appropriate.
What you'll be doing
  • Carrying out end user access audits for both standard and privileged levels of systems access, in accordance with access standards, as required.
  • Assisting end users and working with Identity, Security, Platform and Application Teams, and Service Leads to resolve access issues.
  • Supporting the UK User Access Management Team Lead in fulfilling the requirements of Service Delivery Change Requests from internal customers, for the introduction of new systems or changes to existing systems, working with Security, Design and Development Teams, and Service Leads to fulfil customers' requirements.
  • Providing quality self-help guidance to end users so they can gain the correct level of access to carry out their duties.
  • Monitoring and resolving Service Requests and Incidents in ServiceNow
  • Carrying out and completing data integrity tasks such as dormant user checks or ad-hoc audits, as required.
Skills
  • Ideally you will come from a technical background and have some of the following skills:
  • Very good interpersonal and customer management skills"
  • Some understanding of IT standards, e.g "ITIL framework and General IT Controls
  • Microsoft productivity and communication tools, such as Excel and Teams
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical, Methodical, Precise and Logical in your day to day approach
  • Previous experience of ServiceNow advantageous
  • Experience with command line access on Linux/UNIX systems
  • Ability to work across multiple applications
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Must be willing to undergo and obtain SC Level security clearance
  • Previous Access Management Experience
  • Active SC Clearance
