Main Duties
- Searching, formatting, sharing and evaluation of published editorial secured for clients: forms an essential part of the agency’s communication with its clients and its reporting and evaluation service.
- Recording and administration of editorial progress across clients, including generation of end of month client account activity reports.
- Administrative support with key agency documents.
- Contributing to the company’s marketing and social media strategy, in consultation with other team members, to include: content scheduling, content production, ideas generation, quarterly newsletter editing and copywriting.
- Editorial outreach on behalf of clients to print, broadcast and digital media in territories to be defined per client agreement with expectation to secure targeted editorial at the highest quality and frequency, with direction from Account Directors and Account Managers.
- Communication with target media may include any or all of: press release dissemination, email pitches, in-person meetings, social media outreach.
- Media familiarisation, to comprise strategic media reading, generation of media lists and ongoing engagement with and updating of the company’s in-house and subscription-based media databases.
- Execution of media requests to include distribution of imagery, information and, where relevant, setting up of interviews and media briefings.
- Generation of press materials to include press release copywriting, photography and image procurement and, drafting and designing other materials as required, in line with the agency’s house style.
- Where relevant, support for client events, to include invitation administration, liaison with photographers, press release mailings to media and on-site assistance.
Skills and Experience Required
• Passion, interest and regular familiarisation with contemporary culture, in particular hospitality, lifestyle, architecture and design, in London and internationally.
• At least prior entry-level industry experience in a communications role.
• An understanding of and interest in wider cultural trends.
• Excellent people and social skills alongside drive and ambition to build contacts and knowledge.
• An ability to be strategic, creative, extremely well organised and commercially minded at the same time.
• Strong written skills and an understanding of and ability to deploy different tones of voice across different media (e.g. Instagram vs a press release).
• Interest in and experience of using social media platforms, either personally or professionally.
• Professionalism matched with personality.
• A second language is desirable, but not essential.
