Account Manager - Interventional Oncology - London & South East England

Our client is a market leading global innovator in medical device technology with a reputation for excellence worldwide.

They are now seeking to recruit a talented and dynamic Account Manager to further strengthen their organisational capabilities in the region within Interventional Oncology, reporting to the National Sales Manager.

In this commercial sales role you will be responsible for delivering quarterly and annual territory targets for promoted Interventional Oncology products by understanding the needs of our customers and positioning their solution to meet those needs in a profitable manner.

You will be working on an exciting product, selling into a number of key areas within the hospital and community environment including:

  • Interventional Radiology
  • Palliative Care
  • Thoracic Surgery
  • Respiratory / Pulmonary Specialists
  • Cardiologists
  • Clinical Nurse Specialists
  • Oncologists
  • Vascular Access Specialists
  • District Nurses

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding customer goals & drivers to build strong and mutually beneficial relationships
  • Proactively developing and implementing territory plans for sustainable, long term sales success
  • Review and alter this plan in line with agreed strategy & direction
  • Effective delivery of Value Add Programmes (training & education)
  • Conduct and manage product evaluation / trials and in-service process as part of account conversion
  • Work effectively with the National Sales Manager, IO team colleagues, Customer Services & Marketing to maximise business potential

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Highly motivated and action orientated and be comfortable taking the initiative
  • Comfortable working individually as well as part of a team and will demonstrate strong PC-literacy
  • Previous experience in NHS healthcare sales (understanding of the evolving NHS structure i.e. ICB / ICS's and good contract negotiation skills) or come from a technical sales background with the desire to break into healthcare sales.
  • For candidates with previous healthcare experience previous theatre experience would be advantageous.
