They are seeking a dynamic and driven Account Manager to join their highly motivated team. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in managing and maximising relationships with their valued retail customers and opening new key and national account.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and nurture existing retail relationships, maximising sales opportunities and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop new business by approaching and winning accounts that align with their brand ethos and target market.
  • Act as a key liaison with agents, motivating and guiding them to achieve targeted sales objectives.
  • Oversee a portfolio of £1-£2 million in wholesale business, including key and major accounts, ensuring strategic growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sales in product launches, ensuring the best products are presented to their retailer customers.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, and other industry events to showcase new ranges and secure new partnerships.
  • Negotiate terms and pricing agreements with a focus on maintaining healthy margins and sustainable business growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to drive initiatives that support their commitment to sustainability and innovation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in account management within the gifting, cards, or related product industry.
  • Strong grasp of numbers and analytics, with proficiency in Word, Excel, and CRM systems.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of achieving sales targets and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Self-driven and proactive with a strong work ethic, capable of working autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience of winning new accounts and developing long term relationships.
