Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Business Development manage, develop and drive a portfolio of Broker and third party relationships required to achieve the growth and adoption objectives across LGMS. As part of the LGMS distribution team identify, engage and unlock target distribution opportunities whilst continuing to manage, drive and retain existing relationships. To engage with key internal stakeholders, including counterparts across L&G Group, and to develop an effective internal network that allows the development of commercial opportunities and proposition ideas.
What you will be doing:
  • Achieve agreed sales and adoption targets through identification and development of accounts across a range of LGMS products and propositions. Undertake this by developing and implementing a sales plan for specified account portfolio in conjunction with the Head of Business Development leading to the achievement of LGMS commercial and adoption objectives.
  • Responsible for a portfolio of existing broker firms and 3rd parties. Successfully manage these relationships ensuring that all commercially viable business via existing partners are retained and developed. Business plans, heatmaps, SLA's and all contractual agreements are in place and result in LGMS objectives being achieved.
  • Develop, influence and onboard the self-generated pipeline of prospects from initial engagement through to launch and the lifetime of the relationship ensuring that LGMS objectives across all LGMS products and propositions are successfully achieved. Work collaboratively with colleagues across LGMS distribution channels for insight, client knowledge and support.
  • Provide input into proposition development to tailor propositions to win and retain LGMS partners by working with target accounts to understand their business challenges, creating innovative solutions through detailed questioning, and leveraging of internal and external networks ensuring that a relevant proposition is consistently offered to firms.
  • Support the Head of Strategic Accounts, Broker with the governance and process involved in assessing all new and existing clients, participate and contribute to internal governance committees to evidence and support this ensuring that they are in line with the achievement of LGMS strategy.
  • Represent LGMS at external events where necessary. Use these opportunities to provide education on the wider mortgage market and LGMS strategy, products and propositions.
  • Seek feedback from customers that aims to identify area's for improvement within product design, literature administration, sales processes and provide information to relevant areas where appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Ideally CeMap or equivalent
  • High level Customer and Account Management experience in a highly competitive environment, developing proposition initiatives, maximising existing business opportunities,
  • Some knowledge of business strategy, customer communication and business planning including the development of strategic plans.
  • Some working knowledge of the UK mortgage lending market ideally with fintech experience
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong Analytical Skills, customer planning, service, communication and development skills
  • Engagement, influencing, and presentation skills - in person, online via Teams/Zoom and in all written materials
  • Able to agree and implement courses of action to accomplish agreed sales targets
  • self-motivated and able to demonstrate positivity, perseverance and resilience
  • Numerate. Able to interpret MI/financial data effectively to create robust business cases
  • Experience in B2B2C financial services or similar will be valued, to help shape propositions for end-consumer delivery
  • The role requires developing B2B2C propositions, via distribution partners
