Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities
This is an excellent opportunity to take on an exciting role within the Programme & Policy Department/Programme Management Team.
The Programme Finance Specialist provides integrated contract, financial and compliance expertise to a portfolio of CARE UK funded contracts, throughout the end-to-end programme management cycle: from pre-positioning with partners, funding proposals, monitoring and interim reporting, through to final donor reporting and project close-out.
Programme Finance Specialists (PFS) are expected to be able to work independently on grants and with support on complex grants and commercial contracts. PFSs are expected to take their learning and development seriously and develop skills to enable them to start working more independently on complex grants and commercial contracts.
PFSs provide knowledge and expertise on the key CIUK donors, in particular FCDO and develop tools, templates and guidance and deliver training/capacity building.
This role is also a key interface with CIUK Finance team, providing key project information for UK financial processes, monitoring against financial indicators and providing financial monitoring reports to the programme managers.

You have excellent grant management skills with a high attention to detail. You are able to multitask and work under pressure, delivering quality work in a timely and accurate manner. You are able to quickly form effective relationships with our country offices, internal teams within CARE and partners (international and local).
You are passionate about enabling local partners accessing and managing donor funding.
