Our client - a Capital Management firm seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to join their team. As an integral part of their organisation, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting support and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This is a 3 month temporary position with the potential for permanent placement.
As an Accountant, you will be playing a crucial part of the finance department, reporting direct into the CFO and COO. They will provide training including an Anti Money Laundering training and you will be certified after completing the course.
Responsibilities:
* Utilise QuickBooks to provide accounting support, including invoice uploads, account reconciliation, report generation, and bank account reconciliation.
* Manage VAT processes and ensure compliance with FCA and HMRC regulations by generating statements and reports.
* Act as the FCA registered AML officer, ensuring adherence to anti-money laundering regulations.
* Assist in budget sheet preparation and contribute to the management of corporate policies.
* Managing monthly payroll process
Required Skills:
* Proficiency in QuickBooks (essential)
* International VAT experience or working knowledge (essential)
* Experience working at a Fund Management environment
* Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to create a structured working environment.
* Strong multitasking abilities and high intrinsic motivation.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with partners, suppliers, banks, fund administrators, and regulatory authorities.
* Capability to work independently without continuous guidance and prioritize tasks effectively.
* A solid understanding of UK governance and tax rules (FCA, HMRC).
* Basic knowledge of funds management and ideally international tax and fund passporting.
