Accountant/Accounts Technician - Lisburn Area

MCS Group are proud to be working with a well-established Practice in the greater Lisburn Area, looking for an Accountant or Accounts Technician to join the team.

A small, local Practice that has now been incorporated into one of the UK's largest firm, it benefits from the best of both worlds. They act independently and provide accounting services across all areas such as Accounts, Tax, Audit, Bookkeeping, Payroll and more. Now is an ideal time to join as they look for an Accountant to join the team.

The Role:

As the successful Accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• You will be a portfolio holder, managing a portfolio of 100-150 clients
• You will cover all bases for your clients - Accounts (statutory and management), Tax (Personal and Corporate), Bookkeeping, VAT, Payroll etc.
• Building and maintaining client relationships
• Dealing with and client queries and questions

The Person:

The successful Accountant will meet the following criteria:

• IATI Qualified or ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
• Previous experience in a general practice role
• Previous bookkeeping/accounts/tax experience
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to build and maintain client relationships
• The ability to work independently
• Time management skills
