Job duties:
- Working directly for Partners, enhancing the delivery of technical training and supporting trainees.
- Managing a portfolio of clients.
- Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
- Ensuring accounts comply with accounting standards.
- Drafting corporation tax computations, including analysis of items for tax purposes.
- Developing strong relationships with clients and providing a primary point of contact for clients on a daily basis for accountancy and tax queries.
- Submitting accounts to HMRC.
- Dealing with HMRC queries.
- Providing financial analysis and forecast information; including advising of potential issues, trends and improvements.
- Preparation of reports to clients as appropriate.
Other Requirements:
- Management of trainee accountants, who require technical support and review of their work, prior to issue to clients and HMRC.
- Knowledge of IRIS, SAGE, Xero and QuickBooks is required.
- Good communication and written skills are essential.
- Excellent attention to detail required with the ability to work under pressure and meeting strict deadlines.
