Accounts Assistant

We are delighted to be partnered with our friendly, reputable, established and well known local client as they seek to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their team within their offices close to Haywards Heath. This role is available due to strong business levels and growth within the organisation.

Accounts Assistant

Full time permanent role - office based. One day per week working from home will be considered once training period has been completed.

Mon-Fri 0800-1600 or 0830-1630

Role based close to Haywards Heath. Due to rural and unique location of the offices, you will need to be a driver and have your own transport. There is plenty of free parking on site for all staff.

Salary £27000-£28000 per annum, depending on experience plus very good all round company benefits.

The role - Accounts Assistant

The ideal candidate will support with day-to-day transactions in the accounts department. This is a fast paced and varied role.

This is a full-time and permanent position and suitable for someone with good accounts experience.

Duties will include:

• Accounts Payable - reconciliation of supplier statements.
• Accounts Receivable - Process Sales Invoices and follow up with clients, sending out statements.
• Credit Control - Telephone/email to chase and updating of Credit Control spreadsheets.
• Telephone - Answering queries on Accounts Receivable/Payable.

Experience, competencies and knowledge required

Experience of working as Finance / Accounts Assistant or similar role.

Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.

MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions).

Good organisational and time-keeping skills.

Attention to detail / accuracy levels.

Ability to work alongside a team of two others in accounts team
