Axon Moore are partnering with a well-known, highly reputable business situated in Salford Quays. This role will offer somebody the opportunity to gain high level exposure and become fully qualified in Accountancy. You will work alongside the Management Accountant and the rest of the team. This role does require some work experience but they are also willing to train and develop this candidate. It is not often that an Accounts Assistant be exposed to such high level
Salary: £21,000-£26,000

Location: Salford Quays
Main Duties:
- Transactional duties, both AP and AR processes.
- Assisting in month end processes including; Accruals, Prepayments, VAT, Allocations etc.
- Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all allocated legal entities
- Performing data validations to ensure completeness and accuracy of information between system interfaces
- Completion of half year and year end accounts packs, with all necessary supporting documentation and analysis
- Assistance with VAT reporting, eg. monthly VAT packs
- Maintenance of the Fixed Asset registers
- Support the Senior Accountants and Head of Finance with ad hoc improvement projects
- Support AP/AR teams as required
- Any other duties as required
Person Specification:
- AAT Studier or Finance Graduate with some work experience, preferably covering transactional duties and touched on Journals, Accruals, Prepayments.
- Desire and commitment to study towards an accountancy qualification
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective team player
- Strong time keeping skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Flexible approach
