Job Description
- Assisting in the preparation on electronic and financial files for audit
- Supporting the Accounts team in maintaining financial records
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial reports and preparation/maintenance of inter-company loan documentation and calculations.
- Helping with bank reconciliations
- Taking part in the creation of annual budgets
- To maintain journal records for this and other segments.
- To prepare inter-company balance analyses, irrecoverable VAT analyses and other accounts analyses as required.
- Contributing to the development of financial policies and procedures
- To draft dormant statutory accounts for review by Financial Controller - Participating in internal audits
- Supporting the team in various ad-hoc tasks
The Successful Applicant
A successful Junior Accounts Assistant should have:
- A keen interest in finance and accounting
- Excellent numerical skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organisational and time management skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving
- Part ACCA/ACA qualification
- An education to degree standard or equivalent
