The Accounts Assistant role is a key position within my clients Accounting & Finance department, responsible for ensuring accurate financial records and providing operational support.

Description

• Ensuring financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
• Carrying out general accounting tasks, including reconciliations and month-end processes.
• Process invoices, receipts and payments.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
• Providing administrative support to the accounting team.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures.

Profile

A successful Accounts Assistant should have:

• Proficiency in standard software applications such as Microsoft Excel and Xero is essential
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
• The ability to work as part of a team and to build strong working relationships.
