Accounts Assistant - £35,000 – East Molesey

A highly successful legal practice with offices based near Hampton Court are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper or Accounts Assistant or Legal Cashier to join their finance team. Working in a friendly, supportive environment you will be responsible for the payment of firm’s and client’s invoices in a timely manner.
As the Bookkeeper you will process daily banking, office and client transfers, cheque processing, petty cash, and bank reconciliations as well as inputting of transactions and account movements on the system and updating ledgers using accounting management software (Leap & Xero). You will work to provide and maintain accurate ledgers and will have a sound working knowledge of HMRC requirements.
In addition, you will proactively manage the timely, accurate generation of month and year end procedures, review WIP, Selection and Aged Debtors reports with Fee earners and review expenditure on a regular basis.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a professional service or legal environment. Any exposure to Leap or Xero software would be advantageous.
The salary on offer for this role is up to £35,000 plus benefits.
