Accounts Payable Assistant

I am seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join a dynamic team and provide essential administrative and financial support to the AP Supervisor. Your role will involve efficiently processing payments and expenditures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established timescales. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing key suppliers and providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Location: UK Head Office in Hayes

Hours: 40 hours per week, 9:00am to 5:00pm, with occasional evening and weekend work.

Training: Full support and training provided for skill enhancement.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Key Results Area:

• Process high-volume supplier and subcontractor invoices for payment.
• Obtain timely authorisation of invoices.
• Reconcile supplier statements.
• Manage key suppliers in the best interest of the company.
• Provide excellent customer service to stakeholders and suppliers.
• Manage emails and resolve supplier queries as needed.
• Undertake other ad hoc finance tasks.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience/Profile:

• Previous experience in Accounts Payable with relevant expertise.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with Basware and Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cooperatively across departments.
• Professional demeanour with a proactive, detail-oriented attitude.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively.
• Excellent multitasking and prioritization abilities, with problem-solving skills.
