Job Description for Accounts Payable Assistant:
Are you an experienced accounts assistant with at least 12 month experience within Accounts Payable? We have an exciting new opportunity within a nationwide organization to join their finance team. Within this position you will be responsible for ensuring that clients are paid correctly and on time, you must liaise with the sales team to ensure a smooth process. You will work closely with the finance manager to ensure best processes and procedures are being followed and support with development of improvements. The company offers flexibility with a hybrid way of working with 3 days in the office per week.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage full end-to-end processing across all systems including reconciliation of statements.
- Post cash and reconcile client accounts dealing with any queries in a timely manner
- Ensure payments are on time with complete reconciliations of their account
- Run reports such as aged debt and escalate where required to keep debt to a minimum
- Ensure accounts relating to credit facilities such as close brothers are up to date and any queries resolved
- Work with the sales teams to keep up to date with changes to products or commission rates so that they do not affect the payments received or paid out
- Build, develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across all areas of the business to maximise effective communication and ways of working
Skills and Experience required:
- Finance experience within a large organization preferably FCA regulated.
- Experience within Accounts Payable, with an excellent understand of financial functions.
- Completed or Studying AAT preferred but not essential.
- Ability to commute to Bromsgrove with own transport due to location.
