Accounts Payable Clerk

My client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join a busy fast paced Accounting & Finance team in Warrington. You will be tasked with handling all aspects of Accounts Payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices.

Description

• Processing and verifying invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment.
• Performing invoice data entry using financial software.
• Maintaining vendor files and responding to vendor inquiries about payments.
• Reconciling vendor statements and correcting discrepancies.
• Assisting with month-end closing procedures and reports.
• Cooperating with the wider Accounting & Finance team to improve financial processes.
• Adhering to internal controls over accounting processes and systems.
• Supporting other finance-related tasks as required.

Profile

A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:

• Relevant education in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Aptitude for problem-solving and decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
