Role: Accounts Payable Coordinator
Location: Head Office, Leicester

We manage over £5bn of sales and payments a year, across 500+ retail stores and circa 8 million active Online customers. With so much growth going on we also get stuck into projects supporting new business initiatives.
We are seeking to recruit an Accounts Payable Coordinator based at our Head Office in Leicester. This is one for those who aren’t afraid of big digits, who have an eye for anomalies, and who want to use their skills to succeed through rapid change, challenge and scale.
As a key member of the Accounts Payable team you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the accurate, timely and prompt payment of invoices
- Generating supplier payments which total over £3bn per annum
- Supporting on month end balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintaining and building on supplier and internal relationships
- Highlighting in a timely manner areas of non compliance, high volumes and breach of business process & policy
- Prioritise workload amongst conflicting priorities and key business deadlines
- Improve the volume of overdue invoices compliance with external prompt payment code
- Chasing and obtaining authorisation of invoices across the wider business
- Identify opportunities for streamlining and enhancing processing
- Reconciling supplier ledgers and working to resolve discrepancies
- Working with our Robotics team to deliver task migration
- Stepping into managers responsibilities when required
About you:
You must have experience working in a fast paced, high volume Accounts Payable role. Demonstrable experience of excel and payment runs is essential as well as a track record of supporting the month end process.
We in Accounts Payable are looking for someone who can both support the Team Leader as well as demonstrate a desire to take on responsibility and ownership, an ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining deadlines is also essential. You will be:
- Highly motivated & hard working
- You will possess high level IT skills to complement your ability to analyse and interpret information accurately
- Fierce attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and under your own initiative in a fast paced environment
- An excellent communicator, to feel comfortable in meetings and liaising with all levels of management
- Enthusiastic and a desire to challenge and develop
- Team player with a flexible approach
- Excellent customer service skills
- Versatile approach when adapting to evolving situations
- You’re able to manage and prioritise your workload and have the flexibility to handle operational issues whilst still hitting key deadliness
