Description
The responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Manager are:
- Supervising the purchase ledger team - 121/appraisals/setting objectives/KPI's/training/hiring.
- Overseeing the overall Purchase Ledger processes
- Ledger reviews
- P2P support
- Capturing supplier/customer documentation to the finance system.
- Coding invoices and credits to the correct Nominal accounts
- Ensuring that the authorisation process is administered correctly.
- Ensuring VAT has been processes correctly
- Scheduling supplier BACS payments.
- Assisting with Month End processing.
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Manager should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a managerial role within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant accounting software.
- Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact at all levels.
- Ability to work in Preston location.
