Description
The key responsibilities of an Accounts Payable Officer will include, but may not be limited to;
- Manage PO/ invoice process in Oracle
- Manage the processing inbox and process manual billing as and when required
- To manage Oracle receipting
- Input and gain approval for Sage invoices
- Challenge Sage invoices with internal contact and as required external supplier
- Process direct payments
- Process any other ad-hoc payments as and when required
- Supplier bank detail validation and statement reconciliations
- Utility costs and invoices
- Post journals to allocate costs for the property
Profile
The successful candidate as an Accounts Payable Officer must possess the following skill set and experience.
- Strong background working as an Accounts Payable or as a ledger clerk
- Public Sector and Government OR Not for Profit and Charities desirable
- Competent Excel user (Pivot tablets and V- Look Ups)
- IT Knowledge and systems use including accounting software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and to be organised and efficient in work
- High level numeracy and literacy
- To have driven determination and enthusiasm
- Ability to commute to Manchester
