I am looking to recruit an immediate start Accounts Payable Officer role within Higher Education. This is a key role within the business; I am looking to speak to people with experience of the full Accounts Payable process and who are available on short notice.

Description
The Accounts Payable Officer will report directly to the Group Finance Controller. Duties of the Senior Accounts Payable will include but are not limited to:
- Processing accounts and incoming payments.
- Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording Accounts Payable data.
- Preparing bills, invoices and bank deposits.
- Reconciling the Accounts Payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Verifying discrepancies by and resolving clients' billing issues.
- Facilitating payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
- Generating financial reports detailing Accounts Payable status.
- Ensure daily, weekly and monthly tasks are clearly set out to ensure processing backlogs are for current invoices and payments.
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Officer should have:
- Have demonstrated experience working in Accounts Payable
- Proficiency in MS Excel and experience using Accounting software.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with colleagues and suppliers.
