Robertson Bell are excited to announce their partnership with this meaningful Christian charity as they go to market for an Accounts Payable Officer on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Operational Finance Manager, you will demonstrate your extensive AP experience by taking full responsibility for all Accounts Payable processes and play a critical role in the establishment of efficiencies across the function.
The key duties of this Accounts Payable Officer role are as follows:
- Full responsibility for ensuring that all invoices are coded and processed correctly and that all payments are made in a timely manner.
- Provide invaluable support in the preparation and review of bank reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Prepare BACS payments and process all staff expenses on a monthly basis, ensuring to liaise with internal stakeholders where necessary.
- Be a key point of contact for queries and reach out to external suppliers to obtain quotes when required.
- Actively partaking in daily team and company prayer times and leading on occasion.
Based in Coventry, this role is for a well-established, dynamic faith-based organisation and offers a fantastic opportunity for someone who has some experience in a transactional finance role, looking to make their mark on a great organisation. Or, alternatively, a driven individual with an accounting qualification (AAT Level 3 or equivalent) looking to kick-start their career.
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong Accounts Payable experience or strong theoretical knowledge in this area.
- Ideally, a background working in either the charity sector, but candidates coming from practice are still strongly encouraged to apply.
- A professional demeanour and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Ideally, hold a qualification such as AAT Level 3 or equivalent.
- An inquisitive mind and drive to learn new things and develop.
Due to this nature of this opportunity, candidates will be required on-site five days a week.
