We are currently recruiting for a Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our client based on the outskirts of Swindon.

Job Purpose

Overall leadership of the Accounts Payable team (6-7 direct reports). Ensure that suppliers are paid promptly so that holidays are not cancelled through non-payment. Ensure that all payments are accurate and appropriate controls are maintained at all times. Help recruit, train, manage, and develop the team.

Typical activities

• Workload management of Accounts Payable Team (inboxes/emails)
• Daily morning team meeting
• Payment run preparation.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and investigation
• P&L reporting & reconciliation for package departures
• Training plan management & KPIs
• Resource planning. Control staff holidays and ensure that sufficient resource is available throughout the year.

Skill set required:

• AAT Qualified
• Team management experience
• Able to work extended hours on occasions when required.

• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
• Ability to both lead and work within a team effectively and display initiative
• Have a friendly and professional demeanour.
• Must be self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
• Strong Accounts payable skills
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately .
• Excellent MS Excel skills
• Organised with the ability to work under pressure.
