The role of Overheads Team Lead will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:
- Managing the workload of a team of 2 Assistants within the Accounts Payable department
- Ensuring a high level of accuracy in all aspects of Accounts Payable transactions
- Utilising MS Excel to effectively process high volume transactions in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborating with colleagues across departments for efficient processing, approval & payment of supplier invoices
- Using banking software for payment of invoices by BACS & online banking platforms
- Performing reconciliations of supplier accounts & swiftly investigating & resolving discrepancies
- Completing weekly payment runs & month-end reports to meet financial close deadlines
- Liaising with internal & external audit to ensure Accounts Payable compliance with audit requirements
You
As an Overheads Team Lead you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following:
- Extensive Accounts Payable experience, with a solid understanding of double entry & ledger accounting is essential
- Experience in supervising a team & driving process efficiency would be advantageous
- In-depth knowledge of various systems & their integration within the company
- Strong problem-solving abilities, systems & analytical skills focused on process improvement & re-engineering
- Versatile & adaptable approach with strong organisational & delegation skills
- An interest in fashion & commitment to company values is preferable
