Our client, a leading UK company based in West Lothian, is currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Team Lead to join their team in a fantastic permanent position. As the Team Lead, you'll be responsible for leading a team of two who look after overheads invoices. You will have strong systems skills & be skilled in developing & maintaining processes.

Job

The role of Overheads Team Lead will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:

  • Managing the workload of a team of 2 Assistants within the Accounts Payable department
  • Ensuring a high level of accuracy in all aspects of Accounts Payable transactions
  • Utilising MS Excel to effectively process high volume transactions in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborating with colleagues across departments for efficient processing, approval & payment of supplier invoices
  • Using banking software for payment of invoices by BACS & online banking platforms
  • Performing reconciliations of supplier accounts & swiftly investigating & resolving discrepancies
  • Completing weekly payment runs & month-end reports to meet financial close deadlines
  • Liaising with internal & external audit to ensure Accounts Payable compliance with audit requirements

You

As an Overheads Team Lead you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following:

  • Extensive Accounts Payable experience, with a solid understanding of double entry & ledger accounting is essential
  • Experience in supervising a team & driving process efficiency would be advantageous
  • In-depth knowledge of various systems & their integration within the company
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, systems & analytical skills focused on process improvement & re-engineering
  • Versatile & adaptable approach with strong organisational & delegation skills
  • An interest in fashion & commitment to company values is preferable
