SalaryA fantastic role has arisen for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a company based in Southampton.
Responsibilities:
- Use a variety of systems (some bespoke) to calculate invoices for customer support contracts and maintain invoicing at 6 weeks in advance
- Develop knowledge of the products in order to identify any potential errors surrounding the billing
- Review, raise and verify client invoices from information provided by the sales team and determine appropriate revenue recognition dates
- Review transaction reports and apply chargeable rates as per customer contracts for invoicing
- Maintain customer records to ensure information is accurate & up to date
- For certain customers upload invoices into the customer portal
- Assist with Credit Control & raise credit notes when requested
- Assist with month-end closing including reconciliation of Aged Receivables to General Ledger
Requirements:
- Finance System experience (NetSuite ideal)
- AAT qualified, part qualified or QBE
- Awareness and understanding of revenue recognition accounting standards and the importance of inputting the correct revenue recognition dates
- Good attention to detail and accuracy and ability to spot own mistakes
- Ability to organise own workload to meet tight month end deadlines
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good team player with willingness to pitch in to help the rest of the team when needed
- MS Excel skills
