Job description

This is a position for an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join the Accounting & Finance team within the FMCG industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Accounts Receivable team and ensuring that all financial transactions are processed accurately and timely.

Description

Accounts Receivable Supervisor

  • Manage Ledger, debit notes through to resolution and payment allocation for all customers
  • Allocate customer account responsibility to the AR team members and set performance KPI's
  • Review all ledgers and offer guidance and assistance to the AR team where needed
  • Assist Finance Manager with annual audit AR requirements
  • Deal with relevant customer enquiries and challenges and make sure that the team resolve in a timely manner
  • Ensure daily procedures are complete
  • Manage the "On Hold" and "Release" authorisation process.
  • Support and cover areas within the AR department if required
  • Ensure invoices, credit notes and statements are sent out to customers quickly to minimise the risk to cash flow
  • Ensure all receipts are posted in a timely manner and allocated as per any remittances.
  • Complete end of month check list
  • Review procedures, policies and standards for the AR department to ensure we remain up to date and as effective as possible

Profile

A successful Accounts Receivable Supervisor should have:

  • Ideally, someone who is immediately available and/or on short notice
  • Strong exposure to Accounts Receivables and team supervisory responsibilities
  • Have management experience or the skills and ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Good communication skills; numeracy, literacy and IT skills including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred although not essential
  • Good time management and prioritisation skills
  • Self-starter, team player, dedicated and committed
  • Listening skills, to understand exactly what customers, staff and business require
