Job Title: Accounts Receivable Team Member

Responsible to: Accounts Receivable & Expenses Team Leader

Direct Reports: None

Main Purpose

  • Participle in the day-to-day operation of the Accounts Receivable function ensuring compliance with group procedures.
  • Assist the AR Team Leader in the development and implementation of continuous improvement to the Accounts Receivable process.
  • Assist AR Team Leader with the implementation of agreed process changes for the Accounts Receivable function within Financial Operations
  • Build strong customer relationships, focusing on quality service within the team.

Core Responsibilities

  • Actively chase aged debt by telephone, e-mail and letter.
  • Allocate payments made by BACS/cheques against relevant invoices.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers to resolve queries.
  • Raise invoices and credit notes
  • Investigate and clear unallocated cash promptly.
  • Maintain debtor accounts with up to date details.
  • Liaise with Banking Services regarding payments received.

Monthly

  • Update month end aged debt spreadsheets in line with timetable.
  • Issue customer statements.

General

  • Standardisation of processes/scope
  • Support in all areas of the Service Centre as & when required

  • Ensure that the quality of the Company's Finance services is always of the highest standard .

Essential/Desirable

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 6 months experience of credit control
  • Previous experience of SAP system D
  • Experience of working in a high-volume environment
  • Computer literate (keyboard skills, and experience of working with PC/ email)
  • Competent in the use and application of Microsoft Office
  • Experience of working in the Service
