Our client are a Gloucestershire-based regional independent accounting firm. They have a great reputation and take pride in the quality of service they deliver to their customers. They are expanding as a team and as a company, and this position is critical to these goals.
Your new role
- To ensure that jobs are executed to the highest possible standard, within the job\'s agreed-upon internal budget, and to discuss any significant issues that arise with the manager/director and client.
- As needed, adopt a hands-on approach to all assignments.
- To compile statutory accounts, management accounts, and VAT returns, interacting with clients and directors as needed to ensure effective completion.
- Assist with tax compliance, corporate tax computations, and VAT difficulties in general.
- Build and maintain consultative client connections at all times, and adhere to the standards of outstanding client service.
- To give tight assistance to the team\'s managers, as well as answers to clients and other team members on technical and accounting concerns.
- Maintaining a high level of technical knowledge through suitable reading and courses, as well as meeting any development or training needs
- To assist in the training and development of team members.
What you\'ll need to succeed
- Candidates should have prior experience in an accounting firm, ideally with a wide variety of exposure to various accounting disciplines.
- Ability to produce/process complicated management accounts and projections with a thorough understanding of UK financial reporting regulations and confidence in account preparation
- Communication abilities that are both oral and written are essential.
- You will be a well-organised, energetic, and self-motivated team player with a comprehensive and systematic approach to work. You will be able to work independently and manage your own workload.
- People abilities that allow you to relate to clients and coworkers.
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Strong accounting and production abilities
What you\'ll get in return
Circa £26,000 - £34,000 dependent on experience, background and level of the right professional, plus benefits and Study Support for an ACA qualification.
