Job Description
- Will be responsible for accounts preparation, bookkeeping, VAT and Tax Returns for clients, under the supervision of the Accounts & Tax Managers
- Monitor and analyse accounting data to produce financial reports.
- Bookkeeping work, including banking management on multiple large businesses.
- Establish and enforce financial procedures to improve operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with the team to ensure timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes.
- Will also be required to carry out preparation of Self-Assessment Tax Returns, so knowledge and experience of this will also be required.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Provide guidance to junior members of the team.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Semi Senior should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role within professional services.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A problem-solving mindset with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience of using CCH and/or IRIS is essential.
- Knowledge of Xero, Quickbooks, Sage is required.
