Accounts Senior
Plymouth
C: £25,000 - £38,000
Our Devon-based client is a top 50 chartered accountant firm and one of the largest names in the Southwest. This new Accounts Senior position is situated within their Plymouth office joining an established team supporting across a variety of complex client portfolios.
The Responsibilities:
- Preparations of financial statements for the client portfolio consisting of limited companies, partnerships and sole traders. This is up to the audit threshold.
- Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations and returns
- General bookkeeping including the preparation and completion of quarterly VAT returnsand management accounting services
- Filing Companies House and HMRC documents on behalf of the client portfolio.
- Maintenance of the client records ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- General admin duties to provide support to the wider team and senior management where needed.
The candidate:
- Ideally ACA or ACCA qualified or part qualified, though AAT qualified or qualified by experience will also be considered.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills via all means available.
- Experience of working within an accountancy practice at a similar Accounts Senior/Accounts Manager/Portfolio Manager level, including previous experience in accounts preparation for limited companies and unincorporated businesses.
