Accounts Senior - Top 100 Practice

TPF Recruitment is recruiting for a qualified ACA or ACCA , or qualified by experience candidate to join a market leading Top 100 accountancy practice in Uckfield. This accountancy practice is a modern firm that is continuously driving themselves forward and have their clients long term best interests at the heart their business. They are a hard-working business that looks after their staff and rewards them accordingly for their work. They provide general accountancy practice services to their clients who range from start up businesses through to large groups with turnovers in excess of £35m. Their services typically consist of accounts, management accounts, audit, bookkeeping, tax, VAT, CIS and payroll. As an Accounts Senior, you will have a hands on role preparing accounts, tax and general accountancy practice responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, SMEs and OMBs. There is scope to do audit work, should you wish. Clients are varied across industry and turnover, ranging from simple tax returns through to multimillion-pound groups requiring advisory work. The practice is undergoing continued positive growth and therefore this vacancy provides genuine progression and development potential, and a chance to progress truly. Responsibilities include: Lead client accounts' engagements (planning, directing and completion) Supervise juniors Research and analyse financial statements - Produce statutory accounts and draft tax computations Monitor the progress of jobs to ensure that budgets are met. Draft client letters and bills Proactively interact with key client's management to gather information, resolve problems and make recommendations for business and process improvements. Requirements Essential skills and experience: ACA/ACCA qualified with a demonstrable track record of accounts experience in an accountancy practice Excellent technical knowledge of accounting standards, corporation tax, VAT and P11Ds Ability to perform to a high technical and professional standard Desirable: Working knowledge of Caseware, Sage, Quickbooks, Xero, Alphatax and CCH. Benefits £35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
