Job description

As an apprentice
you will initially gain experience as a key member of the Accounts Cashiering
team (Client Account, Purchase Ledger and Counsel & Experts). As you develop you will also have exposure to
other finance activities.
Main Responsibilities:
You will be the firm’s primary contact for
suppliers in dealing with invoicing and purchase ledger.
Process invoices, ensuring they are promptly
logged, authorised and posted in Aderant.
Schedule regular and adhoc payments of supplier
invoices and arranging timely approval.
Support the team with posting VAT accurately and
ensuring compliance with VAT regulations.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate supplier details
in the Aderant system.
Process employee
and partner business expense claims
Assist with reconciliation of supplier
statements and monthly reconciliations.
Assist with Client and Office bank
reconciliations when needed.
Identify and allocate monies received into the
firm’s office bank account against invoices on Aderant.
Collate and check information on remittance
advices sent in by the client to allow us to allocate monies received into the
firm’s office account against the invoices on the system.
Maintain the process documentation for the
Accounts Payable business processes.

Level 2Accounts/Finance apprenticeship standard, which includes:
Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
Qualifications required
A minimum of 5 x GCSEs at A-C/9-4 including maths and English
Skills required
Deal with client and internal staff queries in a
professional and timely manner.
Learn and comply with SRA Accounts rules for a
firm operating in a regulated sector.
Assist as required with general accounting tasks
performed by the Finance Team and gain exposure to applying accounting
principles for an LLP in day-to-day work.
Assist with addressing internal and external
audit as needed.

be offered permanent role with the firm upon successful completion of the
Apprenticeship
