This Surrey based Acoustic Consultancy has been providing effective solutions to architectural, commercial and industrial noise problems for almost 20 years. The scope of their business is unlimited as business can be generated across the UK across new and developed areas.Due to growth and exponential workflow, this company is searching for someone to lead on the full lifecycle of various consultancy projects using British Standards, typically Planning Authorities. As it is a smaller company, you will have a greater impact and more freedom than a larger consultancy would allow.A company that values your personal career progression. They aim for you to eventually become a director and potentially part-owner. In the meantime they are willing to provide funding for further education possibilities, including but not limited to MSc in Acoustics and IOA diploma (Institute of Acoustics).Their business also offers bespoke products to mitigate acoustical inefficiencies, often these solutions are paired directly from remediation recommendations provided from the consultancy side of the business.
Your new role
You will be working closely with the owner of the company and will be leading on the full lifecycle of projects. Your expertise will contribute to the running of a successful and growing consultancy business, you'll be heavily involved in all elements of consultancy work, main duties could include:
- Commercial noise measurements
- Industrial noise measurements
- Noise mitigation
- Reverberation Evaluation
- Calculations and report writing for local planning authorities
- Providing effective solutions for acoustic remediation
- Acoustic product design specification
- Managing acoustic installation projects
- Client liaison
- Business development
What you'll need to succeed
- Relevant acoustic consultancy experience preferably working on planning authority projects
- Associate or full member of the Institute of Acoustics - preferred (AMIOA, MIOA)
- An understanding of acoustics / acoustic engineering
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a small team and independently
- Full driving licence
- CadnaA or SoundPLAN experience (Beneficial but not required)
