Job description

The Role

This role is to deliver, the council’s political and service delivery objectives on Active Travel. Also to be responsible for developing and coordinating a programme of works and monitoring their execution and effectiveness.

Responsibility for the delivery of Active Travel duties and to make an active contribution to transportation and green infrastructure through the promotion of sustainable modes of travel and healthy streets.

The role will be expected to build Active Travel into the daily lives of our communities to replace car journeys and to develop and deliver Active Travel initiatives to support the Council’s activities to meet carbon neutral targets.

About You

  • Work well as part of a team delivering sustainable travel initiatives, including road safety, school travel planning and travel awareness initiatives.
  • You have experience in the delivery of behaviour change and sustainable travel projects.
  • Friendly, positive and outgoing that loves working with young people, colleagues and cross departmental.
