The Home
Holmes Court will be a new residential home for people aged 18 or over with complex needs including Autism, learning disability and behaviour that challenges. Holmes Court is located in Ballymena and it neighbours with Slemish Nursing Home. Holmes Court location is on a walking distance from local shops and parks, the home can be reached easily by bus or train.
The Role
You will be required to assist the Activities Co-ordinator in organising all social and recreational activity. You will assist the planning, implementation and evaluation of social activities across the home in order to improve mental and emotional well being and quality of life of residents.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare, plan, and deliver recreational and occupational activities.
- Ensure effective and timely record keeping.
- Contribute to surveys, audit and clinical research projects assisting with collection, analysis, and presentation of data.
- Observe and monitors the wellbeing of residents.
You will need:
- to be educated to GCSE level or equivalent with a good standard of English
- experience gained within an elderly care environment
- to be able to creatively plan activities to meet the needs of service users
- to liaise with external educational, vocational and leisure activity providers to expand the range of activities available
