Working 37.5 hours a week, you will provide a high standard of individualised patient care/therapy as part of the clinical team. In this role, you will support individuals and assist as necessary with activities of daily living including personal care/therapy, social, emotional, and recreational needs and aspirations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building understanding of residents and families likes and preferences
- Facilitating internal group activities
- Facilitating external activities. From time to time you will be required to use the centre's minibus. The minibus is used for transporting the residents on external activities mainly, but also assisting with getting patients to appointments and on home visits.
- Facilitating 1:1 Activities
- Organising and managing big events
- Organising and managing monthly entertainers
- Organising celebrations for residents special occasions
- Managing activities budgets (includes cash handling and purchasing of goods and services)
- Facilitating residents travelling to community locations
- Participating in the annual Performance Development Review process
- Undertaking reasonable training and development in order to retain and improve upon existing skill
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- NVQ level 2 or prepared to train to this level
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills
- Basic Computer Skills
