Job description

The Aldingbourne Country Centre is a popular Visitor Attraction located on the edge of the South Downs National Park offering a great day out for families to play, a state-of-the-art conference centre for people to meet and a welcoming café where everyone can eat.

With over 80,000 visitors a year, we pride ourselves on giving people a great experience in an attractive, creative and welcoming environment which includes state of the art buildings, open farm, various indoor and outdoor play areas, woodland walk, maze, camping fields and carparks.

We have ambitious plans for the future and are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic individual to join our Events team, who create, promote and run exciting and innovative events and activities throughout the year, with the ultimate aim of delivering FUN!

Guaranteeing that all visitors have a great experience and delivering all activities to a high standard, whist ensuring that the Country Centre is a safe, attractive and welcoming environment for visitors, in particular young children who will be using the facilities and equipment, is also a key part of the role.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build a rapport with our visitors, helping them to feel welcome and enjoy their day. Actively help them have a great experience, explaining and supporting with instructions and information if needed.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and safety of all activity areas and equipment across the Country Centre. Perform fabric repairs and general maintenance tasks as needed.
  • To support your manager with ideas, improvement and implementation of new equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure equipment and environment is safe for our visitors and others on site. Ensure good record keeping so that checks and inspections can be evidenced and any defects or concerns raised with your manager.
  • To work within all Health & Safety requirements, preparing and reviewing risk assessment as required, ensuring that all duties are performed within the statutory Health & Safety requirements.
  • To support your manager on activities event management, ensuring they are delivered to high standards & meet required deadlines.
