An exciting opportunity has arisen for an additional Year 6 Teacher to join us at Stoke Park Junior School. Working within a friendly and supportive environment, the successful candidate will be able to make a real and sustained impact on the learning outcomes for children.
We are looking for an exemplary practitioner, who is committed to providing a wealth of exciting and creative learning experiences for all pupils. They should be able to work using their own initiative, whilst enjoying the benefits of working within a collaborative and experienced Year 6 teaching team.
Applicants with experience of teaching in Year 6 would be welcomed, together with proven success that has been demonstrated in helping children prepare for SATS.
The role will involve teaching a small class during the morning, in reading, writing and maths. The afternoons will be flexible, according to the needs of the year group but could involve a combination of facilitating group work, releasing a class teacher to enable them to work with focus groups and supporting the SEN team with focus pupils. The successful candidate will also have a subject leader responsibility but this is flexible and will be discussed at interview. Subject leader release would be provided within the role.
