We are looking for an enthusiastic, personable, hardworking and committed person with proven administrative skills. You will work under the direction of our Admin Officer and key responsibilities will include using Arbor and Tucasi software, providing front of house service, with a ‘can do’ attitude, for parents and visitors and any other admin duties necessary to assist in the proficient running of the office.
Training will be provided where necessary, but candidates should list in their applications any relevant administrative qualifications/experience they have.
Admin Assistant Job Description
Customer Service
- Act as first point of contact for general Parents, Pupils and Visitor enquiries, responding within standard procedures or referring the enquiry to an appropriate destination
- Contribute to the smooth running of the school’s reception, postal, telephones and stationery facilities as appropriate.
Administration duties
- Provide cover for Admin Officer’s absence, liaising with support staff where appropriate.
- Order school lunches via Tucasi each day
- Record absences in Arbor each morning
- Apply basic financial payment procedures to handle cash and record financial transactions.
- Your duties will include administrating Arbor and Tucasi, and typing letters as appropriate, and any other jobs required by the Admin Officer.
Entry Necessary role related knowledge, skills and experience at selection
- Aptitude for administrative work, normally demonstrated by GCSE standard or equivalent with passes in English and Maths at grade c or above
- Good organisation and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Good computer and keyboard skills
- Good customer facing skills
- Ability to work well as a team
- Excellent understanding of the importance of confidentiality
