About us: Gower College Swansea is one of the largest colleges in Wales with a strong reputation for high quality teaching and learning. We have six campuses across the city with over 4,500 full time learners and 10,000 part time learners. We currently have a turnover of over £50 million making us a major employer in the region with approximately 1,000 staff. The role: Part-time (30 hours per week) Term time (38 weeks per annum) Fixed term until December 2024 £16,005 - £16,346 per annum Gorseinon campus Key Responsibilities: Providing a comprehensive administrative support service to the Faculty Office Key accountability for consumable ordering, maintaining accurate records and administering credit card returns First point of contact for visitors, lecturers and students About you: Fluent Welsh Speaker Previous experience of maintaining accurate administration systems Possess excellent IT skills With a minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade A-C (or equivalent) including Maths and English you will also possess a relevant level 2 qualification, ideally in Business Administration Possess excellent interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to communicate confidently at all levels Able to prioritise your workload and work to strict deadlines with a commitment to maintaining high quality standards Benefits for you: 5.98 weeks annual leave, plus bank holidays, and the college is closed for two weeks over the Christmas period A Local Government Pension Scheme with an average employer contribution of 21% (2023) 2 staff well-being days a year Discounted study opportunities on College programmes View more benefits here: https://www.gcs.ac.uk/recruitment/benefits-and-wellbeing We welcome applications from individuals regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, socio-economic background, religion and/or belief.
