This opportunity is offered as a Fixed Term Contract for 2 years.
National Minimum Wage for Age:
21 and over: £11.55 per hour
18 to 20: £8.69 per hour
Under 18: £6.46 per hour

If so then we have a great opportunity for Apprenticeships within our Administration and Business Support team which would provide the chance to gain the skills, experience and knowledge in a busy team whilst working towards a nationally recognised qualification.
As an apprentice you will:
- Work alongside experienced staff
- Gain job specific skills
- Earn a wage and receive holiday pay
- Study towards a related qualification
The successful candidate will learn and assist in all elements of administration including carrying out day to day customer service, financial management and general administration duties, along with minuting a range of meetings.
The posts will be fully office based within any Council building within the borough of Walsall.
We are seeking individuals with GCSE (Grade C or above) in English and Maths.
The appointed person will be required to complete one day per week of training either onsite or within a training provider environment.
Training will be provided on the job through our Training Provider, there will be a requirement to undertake 20% off job training and you may need to work towards Functional Skills.
This post is covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers. The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
