THE POST - Administrative Officer
The School of Health and Life Sciences is seeking to recruit an experienced and highly organised Administrative Officer to become a key member of the School’s Professional Support Team based at Paisley Campus.
The School Placements Officer will play a key role in relation to student placements.
The successful appointee will lead, manage and develop the School’s Placement team, ensuring effective and efficient high quality administrative service to colleagues in the School that are engaged in placement activity. Thereby assisting in ensuring a high-quality student experience and creating a positive image of the School and University.
As a key member of the Placement Team, the post holder will be required to nurture and maintain relationships with key health boards, local authority partners and employers. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to review, design and implement systems and processes to support the development and provision of placements across the school.
The successful candidate should have the following:
- Educated to degree level or with equivalent experience in a similar role demonstrated through relevant and practical work experience.
- Experience with administration, including leadership and management of administrative staff, preferably in a Higher Education environment with knowledge of Banner or other student management system.
- Experience with the development, implementation, and review of operational procedures.
- Experience of working with staff at a variety of levels across a large organisation.
- Knowledge and understanding of operational procedures for the delivery of a proficient administrative service with excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Website maintenance.
- Highly developed communication and leadership skills and excellent Interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
This post will be based at Paisley campus however all colleagues may be required to work at any UWS campus or location from time to time to meet needs of the business.
