About the Role:We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to support the Brokerage Team (SEND). If you are looking for a challenge and would like to be part of a dynamic, friendly team while expanding on your existing skills, we would like to hear from you. This is a part-time position (12 hours per week), ideally 6 hours on Thursday and Friday, but this can be negotiated for the right candidate.

What You Would Be Doing:The post holder will support the commissioning of education placements and work alongside colleagues in Children's Services, including SEND, Inclusion, Virtual School, Brokerage, and Commissioning.

Reporting to a Team Leader, you will need to be motivated and flexible in your approach to work, confident in using your own initiative, and able to prioritise and manage a demanding workload to tight deadlines. The role requires embracing new digital ways of working and collaborating with a range of colleagues within a hybrid working model.

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Maintain data, gather information, and ensure data quality to support reporting processes.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with colleagues, partners, and other professionals.
  • Assist in contractual arrangements.
  • Support the role and function of the Brokerage Officers and Brokerage Team Leader as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Organised and flexible with the ability to meet the demands of a busy work schedule and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively.
