You’ll be an integral part our business support team; providing proactive support to our dynamic and progressive Professional Practices department.
What you'll be doing day to day
With two areas of responsibility no two days will ever be the same.
Business Support:
You’ll provide assistance and support to the Business Support Manager and Partnership by:
- Assisting with preparing and formatting presentation slides, letter, reports, Audit Completion Reports and MS Word financial statement templates.
- Supporting marketing activities.
- Processing expense claims and reconciling statements with the finance team.
- Facilitating travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Co-ordinating diaries and meeting management for staff as and when required.
- Completing general administrative tasks.
Client Engagement and work portfolio management:
- Drafting and processing letters of engagement/dis-engagement and client bills.
- Managing the ‘Know Your Client’ and Anti-Money Laundering clearance processes.
- Controlling and monitoring various logs and processes.
- Preparing accounts packs and tax packs.
- Liaising with clients, partners and managers regarding the signing and filing (internally and with Companies House) of signed financial statements.
- Company secretarial duties including incorporations, appointments and resignations of directors and members, annual confirmation statements.
- Maintaining client contact and relationship databases.
- Supporting managers through the HMRC compliance processes.
About you
- Ideally, you’ll have experience in a professional services environment.
- Excellent organisation and IT skills, in particular, an extensive knowledge of MS Office.
- Strong communication skills that are adaptable to suit the audiences you are supporting.
- You’ll be proactive, organised and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ownership for the delivery of high-quality work is essential.
- The ability to use own initiative and problem solve.
- Have excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work.
- Be comfortable handling sensitive information in a discrete and confidential manner.
