Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, Aligned with AFC Band 2 - £22,383 per annum

We are looking for an experienced administrator who is highly organised, a quick learner, can work flexibly and is person centred. Working as part of the North West administration team, and reporting to the Administration Supervisor, this is a varied and busy role and no two days will be the same
Your duties will include working on reception for a couple of days each week, updating patient medical records on EMIS, Minute taking at meetings, producing patient correspondence to GPs and other key stakeholders, using a number of web based E-systems and providing admin support to arranged key departments. The successful candidate will be willing to learn other roles to help provide admin cover for the team during absence

What we are looking for :
- IT literacy with proven administration experience and a professional and sensitive telephone manner
- Attention to detail
- Highly organised
- Excellent communications skills at all levels and in correspondence.
- Experience of working in a customer service environment
- Ability to prioritise your work, juggling a variety of changing demands will be key
- Quick learner and excellent use of systems
Whilst e-system training will be provided, you must be able to demonstrate excellent IT and typing skills, along with strong attention to detail, possess good communication skills and be competent using Office 365 applications. Highly organised and flexible to provide admin cover to the wider hospice when required, you should also be pro- active with a ‘can do’ attitude to learning new skills, a team player and able to work on your own initiative, managing your time effectively. You will have some contact with patients and relatives and have access to patient records and you will therefore also need the emotional resilience and discretion to work in this environment
