We are currently working with a Local Government authority who are looking for a Community Safety Assistant to provide administrative support to the Community Safety team for an Interim period of 3 months.

Community Safety Assistant

Start Date: ASAP

Rate of Pay: £17.19 Per Hour (Inside IR35) via Umbrella

Duration: 3 Months Initially 

Hours: 37 hour per week

Location: Oldbury

Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to Sandwell’s Community Safety team, which has responsibility for overseeing and coordinating statutory boards such as the Safer Sandwell Partnership and its subgroups—borough tasking meetings
• Assist with minute-taking, meeting and event planning, collating information and reports, liaising with partners and colleagues, maintaining financial records, dealing with invoices, raising orders, and supporting the monitoring and delivery of externally funded projects
• Act in a confidential manner regarding all information and documents received and circulated, taking account of the sensitivity of both the subject matter and the sensitivity of information to be managed in your role to the public and to the council and its partners

Requirements:

• Experienced in using Microsoft packages, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Current, relevant experience in the use of up-to-date systems and software
• Ability to coordinate meetings, taking minutes, sending out notes, and following up on actions in liaison with senior managers and partners
• Experience dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information
