The post holder will be responsible for inputting and maintaining data on data systems, together with the associated correspondence, ensuring a flexible/adaptable approach to their work in order to meet various deadlines and targets
Working alongside existing team members, the main duties of this role will include
Acting as first point of contact and administrator for the NMSS and CD teams with further adhoc admininistrator .
Data inputting and maintenance of service information
Supporting patients and professionals through using phone and email including managing service inboxes
Support the effective and efficient operation of the NMSS and CD services to ensure that requests are completed within the required timescale.

This position is offered at band 3. Working within core office hours, the post will be based at County Hall, Norwich or Westgate House, Warwick. Whilst staff are currently predominantly working from home, the post holder will be expected to attend the office as the role requires to meet the needs of the service. This post is offered as fixed term post for 9 months, 37.5 hours a week over 5 days Monday to Friday working within core office hours.

- Act as first point of contact for the NMSS, dealing with routine and specialist enquiries in a pleasant and helpful manner, communicating relevant information to patients and stakeholders.
- To respond to non-clinical queries for the NMSS and make necessary arrangements for a person’s medication support when a home visit is not required e.g. hospital discharge, Medicines Administration Record (MAR) referrals and follow up checks.
- Inputting and maintaining data on relevant systems and databases, together with the associated correspondence ensuring consistency and quality of data input.
- Monitor budgets including checking and correcting transactions, analyse reasons for under/overspend, review forecasts taking into account commitments and make recommendations to the Service Lead for control. Ensure that financial systems and processes are completed within expected standards and timescales. Raise invoices when required.
- Support the effective and efficient operation of the NMSS to ensure that referrals and assessments are completed within the required timescale.
- Provide administrative support for the CD service level agreement delivered to NHSE Midlands and East of England
- Manage receipt and onward processing of emails via CD inboxes
- Provide support for the receiving and logging of controlled drugs incidents from healthcare contractors via the online CD reporting tool
- Provide support for the processing of CD destruction requests within NHSE Midlands and East of England locality; liaise with contractors to arrange appointments and management of associated audit trail documentation
