Job description

Office Administrator
37.5 hours per week
Monday – Friday
Temp-Perm
Our well established client is seeking a well organised individual to join their growing team. They are a UK leading provider of testing services using their state of the art laboratory.
Main Duties
To act as first point of contact for phone enquires with professional telephone manner.
To chase sub-contracted work.
To support with client emails and assist the admin team with general day to day workload.
To deal with queries.
To make general orders.
To carry out ad-hoc duties.
To support with Sample Preparation, some heavy lifting required.
To take responsibility for own Health & Safety whilst at work.
To report any bad practices witnessed to the Sample Prep Manager.
Essential skills required
Experience in an administrative role.
Strong prioritisation and organisational skills.
Positive attitude towards change.
Adaptability to use various in-house systems and processes.
Close attention to detail and an understanding of operating within a quality system.
Good IT skills (Microsoft based products, in particular Excel and Word).
Good written and verbal communication.
Desirable
Experience in a customer service/admin role.
Scientific education background, but not essential.
Knowledge of an industry work stream (Laboratory, analytical Chemistry, Geotechnical testing etc.).
